This is the bass tab for my cover of One Way Out by the Allman Brothers. It is a note for note transcription of the original Live 1971 track. It was originally played by the great Berry Oakley.
I was able to isolate the drums from the original track, so the drumming your hearing is actually Butch Trucks and Jai Johanny Johnson.
There was an issue of timing with the drums, wherein the band drops a beat or moves into 3/4 during Duane's slide solo. This is because Berry Oakley comes in one bar early after the drum break (completely understandable due to the fact that they have two drummers and they are playing so much syncopation that you lose the beat), and the band drops a beat to catch up with him. I went ahead and changed it and had him come in on time, but then he drops a beat later with the band. Otherwise, you'd actually be playing off time with the rest of the band for a few measures and that was just too confusing for learning.
So, if things seem funky during the slide solo, I apologize, but sometimes when bands are live they have to make things work, so maybe it will be a good challenge for you. It was for me.
